Trial design 42 participants in 2 patient groups, including a placebo group. Active Comparator group. resveratrol will be given for 6 months, twice daily. One pill, which contains 75 mg of resveratrol, will be provided with lunch, and the other pill of 75 mg will be provided with dinner.

Placebo Comparator group. placebo will be given for 6 months, twice daily. Improved glucose homeostasis in obese mice treated with resveratrol is associated with alterations in the gut microbiome.
